These are not the only events in the city but they are some of the coolest and benefit some of the most worthy causes. (And pretty much if it is listed here I will be there with my camera in one form or another) This is a series I am going to attempt to come up with every week showcasing events large and small.

Healthy Kids Day


On Saturday, April 27, the Salem YMCA is celebrating YMCA's Healthy Kids Day® with a free community event that encourages kids to get moving and learning, and families living healthier. Healthy Kids Day, the Y's national initiative to improve families' health and well-being, takes place at 1,900 Ys and kick-starts healthier behaviors now and throughout the summer, a critical out-of-school time for children's health.

Beats for Boston Fundraiser

Join the Wicked Running Club, Danvers 5K, Social Palates and Pamplemousse for a DJ Extravaganza to benefit the Woolfenden Family of Salem who were among those seriously effected by tragic events at the Boston Marathon.

Beats for Boston will feature DJ Sets by Forrest James, Qwill, Radio Scotvoid & Noel Snow. 

Cash Bar and Dancing All Night! Live raffle!

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Pamplemousse, at The Wicked & D5K weekly fun run & 43 Church by cash or check. All proceeds go directly to the Woolfenden Family Fund started by Salem 5 Bank. (checks can be made to The Woolfenden Family Fund)
